- Check and change or wash filters as needed
- Lubricate the blower motor
- Check for proper temperature differential before and after evaporator coil
- Make sure the thermostat is working properly
- Check each safety switch and sensor to verify correct operation
- Check the condition of duct work
- Check for any natural gas leaks at or around the furnace
- Check for any carbon monoxide leaks around the furnace
- Check the setting and operation of attic fans
